Welcome to
Naoero
The last nation to kick off.
Naoero, the world's smallest republic, has never played a football match. The Naoero Soccer Federation (NSF) is building the game here from zero, rooted in the island's boldness, bravery and resilience, so that football becomes a force for good for young lives, national health and a climate-resilient future.

Getting back up is our mentality
Climate change and devastating health statistics have not been in favour of the people of Naoero. Getting back on our feet is not only football terminology, but the island's very mentality. Every programme we run works on the challenges Naoero faces.
Health
Naoero has one of the highest rates of overweight and obesity in the world. Playing the game, sports participation and a health curriculum in schools counter that trend.
Climate
One of the last countries without a football structure, and one of the first at risk from rising seas. Our pitch and training centre are designed as climate-resilient facilities.
Young lives
Grassroots education in schools and community centres gives every child a ball, a coach and a place to play.
